Roadway deterioration has become a massive challenge around the world. In the Unites States, it is estimated that 20% of all roads are in poor condition and that $231 billions per year are required to address this issue over a six-year period (Transportation for America, 2017).

KorrAI can help shift the focus into predictive maintenance of roadways, which leads to extended pavement life and overall costs, by deploying the following satellite-based products:

Monitoring features and technology:

Ground and infrastructure deformation monitoring

Surface deformation can be difficult to visualize. However, its accumulation over extended periods can cause major damage to roads. Also, areas prone to landslides could compromise roads integrity and safety of their users.

For these reasons, monitoring becomes critical. Using satellite radars (InSAR), KorrAI measures millimeter-level displacement and soil moisture content in the ground to accurately and timely alert of potential road deterioration and geohazard risks, covering unlimited areas in a cost-efficient way.
