We are thrilled to report that we have closed a $1.6 million pre-seed investment to revolutionize the way ground motion data is collected and analyzed by integrating satellite-based sensors with ground sensor networks and using artificial intelligence to help interpret risk levels. In addition to the financing, we secured an additional non-dilutive investment of $600,000 in the last year from institutions such as the Canadian space agency, SDTC, and NRC IRAP.
We believe that infrastructure managers, such as engineers and maintenance managers, experience safety risks, costly repairs, and disruptions to operations when inaccurate ground motion data is collected and analyzed, particularly in areas with limited ground sensor networks or difficult terrain, because of the limited availability and accuracy of ground motion data. Alleviating that pain by providing a solution that integrates satellite data, IoT, and AI to accurately and comprehensively assess the physical integrity of critical structures, as well as monitor subsidence risks, would allow them to make informed engineering and maintenance decisions and avoid potential hazards, leading to safer and more efficient operations.
We are thrilled to have some of the best investors in the round, including Y Combinator, ParticleX, Sustainable Development Technology Canada, Berg, Emeles, UVP, and strategic mining angel investors. We plan to drive product development, convert existing proof of ideas, and secure customers during the next 12 months.
